“I reached out to Erik before my meet in January of 2020 and asked if he can handle me. He jumped on the opportunity to help me with open arms.
I was never the type to ask for help as I wanted to learn and do as much as possible on my own but I needed some guidance. In late January of 2020, after my meet, I asked Erik to write me a few blocks of programming as I was unsure what to do after the meet. I haven’t turned back since.
I have never had a 1 on 1 coaching experience before so I was unsure of what to expect. Erik has exceeded all my expectations and has gone above and beyond to make me the best athlete possible.
Erik’s understanding of the sport of powerlifting, anatomy, and strength and conditioning is something every coach should try to emulate. His knowledge base is extremely well-versed and he has some type of answer for any question you may have. He has worked extremely hard to understand various elements of powerlifting including periodization, fatigue and injury management, peaking for meets, and technique cues that athletes ranging from novice to elite can understand. This is apparent in his confidence when answering questions or simply giving advice.
I have had multiple bad experiences with nagging pains, true injuries, or just a bad session. Erik’s positivity and mindset is unmatched when it comes to getting me out of my own head. He looks at things objectivity and tells me with confidence what to do next. That is what a coach does. He allows me to be complete honest with him regarding anything including injuries, a poor day of nutrition, or simply the stresses of life without any repercussions for that honesty.
Erik answers my texts, emails, or dms in a very timely fashion and I think that shows how much he prioritizes his athletes. He is never late to send me my program and does a very thorough job explaining anything I may be unsure of.
Erik has successfully brought me from lowest of lows and showed me new heights I did not know I was attainable of. He has made me a stronger athlete physically and mentally as he has increased my squat, bench, and deadlift numbers and confidence in each lift. He has kept me healthy and moving for well over a year now and I couldn’t be more grateful. Not only has he made me a better athlete, but Erik has made me a better person that makes me want to continue to learn and help others. He is a leader and he is a coach.
If you are looking for an extremely knowledgeable, confident, and personable coach, please reach out to Erik.
